Mothers Day May 10, 2015

A very full day on Sunday.  We went to the Montufar Ward for Sacrament meeting and enjoyed talks and the Primary singing Mother Dear I Love you so.  Led by Lilia Barrera.
After Church we met Elder and Sister Milne and took over some Maternity kits to a local hospital called Roosevelt.  This hospital is government operated for mothers who cannot afford medical services.  The Senior Missionaries have adopted a humanitarian project of gathering donations mostly from the US and make up supply kits for the new mothers.  Often they do not have anything to bring their babies home in or have very little.

Donations came from everywhere but from my daughter and her ward and my aunt in SLC, several suitcases just filled to the brim with baby blankets, onsies, booties, shampoos, lotions, pins, hats etc. were donated.  Sister Kathy Done and myself put together maternity supply kits and have donated to several hospitals.  Myself, Al and Elder and Sister Done and Sister Snedaker delivered kits yesterday to over 40 new mothers.  The new mothers were ever so grateful and happy for the maternity supply kits.

The one sad thing that we found out this day when we saw a man outside in a hall.  We asked if his baby was born today and he said yes and it was a boy.  But the boy passed away.  It was his 7th child.

After we came home we had Elder and Sister Done over for turkey dinner.  We visited for awhile and then received Skype calls from our kids.  A great day.
